About The RISE Experience
This impactful retreat will deliver a transformational and immersive experience tailored for professionals like you.
The RISE Experience is a result of the findings from a global research project that focussed on truly understanding the experience of growing up within a prominent family.
The application of this research is not just beneficial for the rising generation of these prominent families but also those that serve them.
This RISE Experience is specifically designed for professionals working with prominent or wealthy families.
Our focus during our time together is to support you in deepening your understanding of the impact you want to have on the world.
Taking your own journey through the four phases of The Quest for Legitimacy will put you in touch with your personal wisdom and how to increase your impact on the World.

Crystal Creek, Austin
The RISE Experience is being held a The Retreat at Crystal Creek which is located just west of downtown Austin.
The center is a 20 minute drive from the Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
The Retreat boasts breathtaking 360-degree views and a one acre, spring fed pond with fountains, singing birds and other natural sounds, which will help us to create an incredible environment to learn and grow within.
What you'll gain from The RISE Experience
This immersive experience helps you to explore your identity and purpose and will deepen your understanding of yourself.
You will leave with newfound knowledge and the wisdom that comes from a shared experience with fellow professionals
Our aim is for you to leave feeling uplifted and empowered, with a personalised action plan, support and the tools required to embed long-term change.
Above all, this experience will be fun, enjoyable and exciting, including a Super Bowl party on Sunday 11th February.
You will gain an enhanced sense of clarity around the value and importance of your role with the clients you work with.
You will be joined by people who share the same passion for learning and growth that you do. You will create new connections that will last beyond the experience itself.
What is my investment?
The experience runs from 9th February to the 14th. We have specially designed the program to include activities starting on the Friday evening (9th) and ending on Tuesday evening (13th).
In order to get the most out of the experience our expectation is that all attendees would commit to and attend all sessions.
We have limited availability for this experience and the financial commitment required to secure one of the spaces in Austin is $6,500.
This covers all aspects of the experience including activities, food, and accommodation for the entirety of your time with us (Friday evening thru Wednesday morning).
All you will need to cover in addition, is the cost of travel to the center.
Your Quest for Legitimacy Team
Dr . Jamie Weiner
Jamie is the founder of The Quest for Legitimacy. He is also the Author of the book of the same title, published by Wiley Publishing in summer 2022.
Jamie is passionate about making a difference and is inspired to do more around this as a result of the successful launch of RISE in Oxford in July 2023
Russ Haworth
Russ is Director at The Quest for Legitimacy and has played a key role in the organisation since its beginning, working alongside Jamie during the research.
Russ is motivated by the impact that the application of the research can have in the lives of those that embrace the experience of RISE.
Kim Schneider Malek
Kim is a an essential member of The Quest for Legitimacy team and draws on her experience as a second generation family business consultant.
Kim is a strong advocate for experiential learning and loves working with cohorts of enthusiastic and energised people.

This experience has been specifically tailored to professionals who work within or for prominent or wealthy families. This may include;

We will launch the experience at 5pm on Friday 9th February with a dinner. This is an opportunity for everyone to meet and learn a little more about each other. We suggest you arrive in plenty of time to be able to get settled before the dinner
This is an immersive experience that focusses on helping you understand the impact that can come from attaining a sense of legitimacy.
Therefore you should expect to be doing some work on self. We encourage openness and vulnerability but create a safe and inspiring
Once you have signed up for the experience we will be in touch with you about the pre-experience preparation. This will include arranging a virtual meeting with one of the members of the Quest for Legitimacy team.
We will also send you a copy of the book to read prior to the experience.
We encourage you to wear whatever clothing you would feel most comfortable in.
The retreat center offers a range of outdoor activities so some appropriate footwear would be advised.
We expect the weather to be mild in February, but cannot guarantee this so bring clothing suitable for colder weather too.
